Which is magnesium is best?

Unless you’re eating a lot of dark, green vegetables, dark chocolate, almonds amongst other things, you’re probably turning to magnesium supplement.

Magnesium supplements can consist of magnesium citrate, glycinate, threonate, oxide or a combo of these but each one may not be appropriate for you. I take the glycinate version prior to sleep for relaxing and reducing muscle tightness. Citrate version is comparable and slightly cheaper than glycinate but also can have a mild laxative effect. Threonate version has been shown to improve brain health via early research but more research needs to be done to confirm. Oxide version is the cheapest and is typically used in combo blends of magnesium. Oxide is the usually the one most people know of as it can help with constipation.
