With summer in full swing and vacations underway, many people are hitting the road again. Driving to a destination is likely safer considering the pandemic but what if the driving distance is too far. What do you do? Are you ready to fly? Will you be comfortable wearing the mask on your flight? Is that trip so important that you must take it? Or would a staycation be better for you?
So many questions with so many different answers. My advice would be to drive if you are able to because at least you are confined to your own car because let’s face it with airlines now throwing out social distancing rules and booking all seats including middle ones, they are assuming the pandemic is over. Also, just because someone boards the flight with a mask on, doesn’t mean it stays on during it. Multiple images of people wearing the masks below the nose or under their chins are all over the internet so not exactly serving the purpose, right? Also, remember the air quality in a pressurized cabin isn’t great and the air recirculates hence the cross-contamination is easier. Even if you load up on your vitamins, I’m sure the risks are higher on a plane than a car currently—how the times have changed!
Make wise decisions so that you can enjoy your summer and stay well too!
