One thing that I hate to do is count macros but I still like to track what I eat so what do I do? Well, from previous posts you know that I use the my fitness pal app but I also believe in portion control. This is super important to stay on task!
In the US, we tend to get too much food no matter whether we buy groceries or eat out so that leads to food waste but I digress. Anyway, if you don’t have the time to weigh out food, I recommend using your palm. I use that as a gauge of how many carbs to eat and then weigh half palm protein and fat. Is this scientific? Nope but it does work for portion control.
Does this help me? Indeed! Especially if I have to do work lunches or dinners. Plus, you’re never without your palm so you can always adjust what you’re eating. We all want simple ways to stay on task and what could be better than utilizing the tool—your palm—that you already posess.
