One of my favorite snacks to eat is this peanut mixture that I grew up eating. Note: the recipe has peanuts so if it is an allergen for you, stay away from making this or sub with something that isn’t an allergen for you.
The recipe is actually pretty simple, all you have to do is put some unsalted peanuts in a bowl, add some diced onion, a tablespoon or so of lemon juice, and a little red pepper and mix. Voila! All set to eat. So why is this my go-to snack? Aside from it being super easy to make, it also tastes really good.
Plus, if you are looking for snack that has protein and fewer carbs, you can’t beat eating this because peanuts give you the protein/fat/carbs ratio you would typically expect and the onions give you a little more carbs. This snack is definitely going to keep you satiated. For me, this is the snack that I could eat before bedtime in case I don’t want to drink another protein shake.
