I read an interesting article about exercising and whether you should take carbs or protein after your workout. My guess is like me, you too are taking protein afterward as that is what has been ingrained in us forever, right? So should you take carbs or protein after your workout?
We all know that you need to eat protein, carbs, and fats to maintain good health and alter those ratios based on your goals. We also know that carbs are needed for energy to help you get through a workout; hence, why many runners choose to eat a banana to keep going but what if you are a casual fitness athlete, is there a preference for what you should be eating and when?
