Have you ever wondered why your body reacts in a certain way when you give up something? For me, giving up sugar has surely been challenging. I didn’t eat that much sugar before but just giving up desserts sure has been challenging. So what did I do to counter these night cravings?
Instead of just eating a slice of cake or a doughnut, I switched to grapes and other fruits like pineapples. These satisfy my sweet tooth and are also healthy. I also added some nuts to my snacking routine. If that still wasn’t enough, sweet and salty popcorn did the trick. Simple switches but doable. Don’t get me wrong, I still miss the doughnut but by making these switches, I know I’m doing something good for myself so that keeps me going. Sometimes you just got to find a way to keep yourself on track. The struggle is real!
