With daylight savings time beginning this weekend, lots of things are about to change for a lot of people. This week, I’ll talk about what those things are.
Let’s start with the sleep pattern. If you’re anything like me, then spring forward means you’ll be up longer at night because you can’t sleep. Your body will need a few days to adjust to this new schedule—think like you just traveled and had a change in time zone.
So what can you do to mitigate against lack of sleep? For me, it’s staying up longer and eventually my sleep pattern will adjust but that’s not practical for others so maybe you can try an activity that exhausts you or perhaps take melatonin if that helps you and is doctor approved for you or perhaps just count sheep–okay, not serious on the last one—but you get my drift.
Try to get some sleep otherwise it’ll be a long week, thanks to daylight savings time.
