I bet you begin your day by grabbing your phone to check messages or notifications or your social media or perhaps you get up via your phone and see the blue light first thing in the morning or even last thing at night but is that the best way to start your day? I start my day with meditation and it is definitely something that I recommend plus if you aren’t convinced that it is something you should do, Google how many CEOs start their day in the same way.
I was first exposed to meditation at work. We did it for 15 mins at lunch time and it sure was tough. Being present in the moment is hard when you have thoughts flooding your brain about the day and errands and what not so 15 mins was a long time. I eventually had to learn to do this at 5 min intervals which made it easier to focus for me.
Now my day begins without the phone and instead after brewing my coffee, I go back into bed and meditate for 5 mins and just be in the moment. Surprisingly, I feel super refreshed after doing that. I highly recommend incorporating meditation in your daily routine.
