Fighting the on-going pandemic along with getting ready for flu season, means you’ll likely see a higher consumption of Vitamin C but why? What should you take if you need some Vitamin C? Eat more oranges or supplements? The answer to that question is best answered by yourself and with your doctor as you know your health the best.
I take Ester-C because this form of Vitamin C stays in your body 24hr versus the generic ones that are eliminated when you urinate. So not only will Vitamin C help you build up your immunity, it will help you fight some of those nasty germs when you travel by plane or train.
Dosage wise, I take 1000 mg Ester-C but that pill is pretty big so a 250mg of 500 mg dosage might be better for you or even the gummy forms if you like gummies. Lots of choices so look for the one that fits your lifestyle.
If you don’t like to take Vitamin C supplements, you can always have more oranges or orange juice but remember to buy the smaller containers of orange juice as the Vitamin C is depleted quickly depending on how many times you open on the container because oxygen has entered the container (which oxidizes the vitamin C).
No matter the brand you take and dosage you take, Vitamin C is definitely seen as a vitamin that helps your immunity so don’t miss out on it!
