Need a new book to read?

With the ongoing pandemic and downturn in the economy, reading a book like Broke Millennial by Erin Lowry was insightful. Why? Whether you are a millennial or not, it is important to budget. You don’t want to be caught on a rainy day without emergency funds. Does this book give you good tips? Yes!

My takeaways from the book include understanding how your finances are affected based on where you live. Do you adequately portion the right amount towards each expense, knowing that you’ll have to forgo somethings to have savings? I also liked the fact that you can either pay with everything by cash or note everything down in a spreadsheet as you spend. Both ways are good ways to monitor your expenditure. Lots of other good tips in the book so if you are looking to improve your financial health, do read it!
