With AI use skyrocketing, terms are hard to comprehend especially with the multitude of online videos that don’t break it down enough for a beginner. I created this awesome AI guide that you can check out on this site here!
LLM is one of the most important terms to know when discussing AI. It stands for large language model. So what is it? Imagine if you read every article, news feed, website, etc. and then someone asked you a question, you’d probably answer based on what you read and absorbed so that’s what Chatgpt, Claude, Gemini are doing. They are your assistant that is responding based on what info it already has or has been trained on. They don’t reason or think, they just answer based on their known knowledge. Pretty straight forward but that also means you need to make sure the info is accurate.
More terms like this defined on my guide. Check it out especially useful if you’re explaining it to a new user or a Senior citizen.
Stay well!
