The weather in my area sure has been going back and forth between sun and rain. Something to be said for climate change right? It’s June here and the temperature is a cool 70F, where is summer?
Summer is the optimal time to maximize your exposure to the sun so you can up your Vitamin D3 levels but what do you do if it raining 3 or more times in the week?
In past, I’ve discussed about why vitamin D3 is beneficial from bone health to strong bones, but is there anything you can do aside from taking a supplement to up your D3 levels? Yes, you can increase your D3 levels by eating more fish like salmon, eat eggs, cheese, mushrooms, soy milk, and eat fortified foods but there truly is no substitute for sun exposure.
Tip: when buying Vit D3 supplements now, you might see the change from IU on the label to mcg so just check the %DV (% daily value) column to see how much vitamin D3 you are getting.
